US, EU and UK set to deploy support to India as hospitals overwhelmed by Covid-19 surge

The United States is deeply concerned by a massive surge in coronavirus cases in India and will race additional support to the Indian government and health care workers, a White House spokeswoman said on Saturday. The European Union and the United Kingdom are also preparing rapid assistance for the country.
